STUDENTS:

1. Monthly Teachings on the Essential Doctrines of the Christian Faith, including
“Who is Jesus Christ?”, “The Trinity”, “How is the Bible Inspired by God and
Authoritative in My Life?”, and “What is the Christian Life and how do I Live It?”

2. Weekly mentoring sessions with a mentor assigned to the student by me and
an Elder of the church.

3. Experiences that would include visiting other churches and other faiths on a
weekend such as Beth Temple Shalom and two churches of other traditions.

4. A weekend retreat in Spring.

PARENTS & VOLUNTEER MENTORS:

Why Do this? (Four Reasons) –

1. Gain clarity on one’s belief in core aspects of the Christian faith.
2. Be received into the leadership of the church if one so chooses to serve in either student ministry or as a Deacon.
3. Form relationships in the church with mature Christians and experience the inter-generational nature of the church.
4. Invest in our high school students in a meaningful way.

DARING TO SERVE:
Cross Voyage Confirmation Course provides the opportunity to help bridge the
gap across generations, unifying as one body, and to help develop future leaders
in Christ.

One of our vision statements as a congregation includes Daring to Serve. We
are excited to invite you to consider your calling to be a mentor in this program.
An exciting aspect of this offering is not only the hands-on mentoring approach to
encouraging a student’s faith, but to grow in your faith as well.
