Registration Form: Overdose Rescue Training
The AmeriCorps Community Training for Overdose Rescue (ACT) program aims to reduce opioid overdose deaths in Southeast Michigan. We hold overdose rescue training sessions where community members learn how to provide first aid during opioid overdose emergencies to save lives. To learn more about our program, visit our website at StopOverdoseDeaths.org.
During this training session, participants will learn how to recognize signs of an overdose and properly provide first aid during an overdose situation, including how to perform CPR, and how and when to use Narcan - an easy to use nasal spray that can reverse opioid overdose symptoms. This training typically takes less than one hour, and there is no cost to participate.
Trained participants receive Overdose Rescue Kits containing Narcan nasal spray and information summarizing key points of the training for the participant to reference during an overdose situation. Each kit also contains resources cards containing information about how to access treatment and recovery resources.
Complete the form below to reserve your spot at a training session.
