History: 📚 🤓

The Food and Meat Co-op is continuing to support our local beef Ranchers and Farmers throughout Utah and we are onboarding two more beef Ranchers and two new pork Farmers! In 2021, we had a Rancher reach out to us that needed our help during the drought. Incredibly enough, we were able to completely sell everything he had available for the year! The amount of their relief and gratitude was palatable and I only wish that we could begin to put into words how amazing it is to experience that. We were humbled by serving them and proud of our Food and Meat Co-op family!

As the drought continued we had another farm reach out to us and we knew we could help them too! This initiated continued efforts to find ways to relieve their stress and bless them for their hard labor to provide food for Utah. At this point the Food and Meat Co-op's Rancher and Farmer Program was brought to life and continues to grow and improve. Our goal is to continuing building relationships with our Ranchers and Farmers and help them grow their herds so that we learn to rely on each other. Even more so now, during this time where food prices are sky rocketing and is often found in short supply. THIS is our food security! Time to get back to our roots of how we eat and acquire meat!

Thankfully, both Ranchers managed to overcome the drought with less damage than they anticipated in 2021 and are working towards building back up from their culling!

It's always a great time to stock your freezers full of fresh, pasture raised, local beef and we have a few great options coming your way. Please understand that each Rancher will have their own unique processes and operations. There will be a nominal down payment to reserve and commit to a half share.

The beef will be delivered, brought to one of our pickup spots or other arrangements between you and the Rancher or Farmer can be made.

There are spots opening up for February for various opportunities and will continue throughout the year. We have a large community and we know that we alone can support these families! If your friends, neighbors or family members want to be involved in our Rancher and Farmer Program, invite them to our group or send this form to them.

Buying a half share can be intimidating and overwhelming but we've got you! Tell us what you are looking for and we'll get you going! Once you fill out this form, you will be contacted as the beef becomes available. Bonus: our Ranchers are offering the offal (organ meats) so you can also have the healthiest part of the animal as well as the bones, etc. for bone broth and healthy, adventurous eating!
