NOCO GIS Days 2022: Geospatial Hackathon, Cool Cartography/GeoViz Presentations, and OSM Mapathon
To celebrate "GIS Day" this year, organizers from Front Range Community College (FRCC), University of Northern Colorado (UNC) and Colorado State University (CSU) are teaming up to offer a variety of activities across a few days!

All events will be "hosted" by one institution but open to participants from anywhere. (A single Zoom link will serve all events.)

For food and planning purposes, please let us know how you plan to be involved.
GeoHackathon: 
Friday, Nov 11  9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Be a part of this team-based GIS competition aimed at solving real world scenarios (revealed at the event).
From beginner to advanced, everyone is welcome! Food will be provided.
Hosted by FRCC, but participants may attend in person at any of these locations:
  • FRCC Boulder County Campus, 2190 Miller Dr, Longmont
  • UNC, Greeley
  • CSU, Morgan Library, Fort Collins

Tuesday, Nov. 15  10:00 am - 2:00 pm @CSU (Ft. Collins)

Guest speakers include members of the North American Cartographic Information Society (NACIS), The Washington Post, and more. Teams who participated in the Hackathon will also be able to present their results. Food will be provided for in-person attendees. 
OpenStreetMap workshop / Mapathon:
Wednesday, Nov. 16  4:00 pm - 6:00 pm @UNC (Greeley)

Come enjoy this informal mapping event, lead by guest speaker and mapping expert Mike Thompson. Food will be provided for in-person attendees. 
Learn about OpenStreetMap (OSM), how to create OSM data, and digitize new data into OSM for a humanitarian aid project. (More info)
