Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Shinto Shrine of Shusse Inari in America! All positions are remote unless stated otherwise. Remote positions require a computer/laptop and a good internet connection. The Shrine runs completely on volunteer work so your offer to take a position is serious and greatly valued.
This work will increase your knowledge of Shinto, Japanese culture and tradition. You will also contribute to a stronger bond with your Shrine community and the Kami-sama.
Thank you so much for your application. Our Volunteer Coordinator will respond within 24-48 hours to you and arrange a follow-up interview.
May the Kami-sama be with you!

Volunteers must commit to at least one(1) calendar year  in the position. There is a lot of time spent training and orienting volunteers and while we are actively developing improved policies and procedures, we have a very small team at the Shrine.
Many of our systems are undergoing improvements and updates right now and need a minimum of 3-5 hours a week.
We ask that volunteers pick one (1) team to work for.  You may change teams if you feel it is not right for you but you may only change teams once.
*The exception to the one team rule are the LA in-person positions. As long as you meet the criteria, you may join these teams as well. *
