Hello and thank you for your interest in the James Madison's Montpelier 2024 Archaeology Field School. The 2024 season is focused on the Archaeology of Memorialization. We are working to understand the appearance of the Montpelier Burial Ground of the Enslaved to aide the Montpelier Descendants Committee in their design for the Memorial to be constructed adjacent to the Burial Ground site.

Our field school will take place from Wednesday May 22nd to Friday June 28th 2024, with the first in person day on Monday May 27th 2024.

Once we receive your survey, we will send you the registration link for our Zoom interest meeting on Wednesday January 24th 2024 at 12pm EST.
