We provide assignments to writers so there isn't a need to research/find what to write about each week. We hear from our team of writers that they enjoy the variety of topics we cover which can span from pop culture news, cooking trends, online news discussions, viral stories e.g. trending now on TikTok, Twitter, Facebook.
It's not required, but we do strive to find the best people who have internet culture passion. You should also have:
- A positive, curious, playful attitude
- An interest in social platforms and what drives people to share content
- An openness to pop culture and internet trends
- Curiosity about content on TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, Tumblr, etc.
You should demonstrate the following:
- Ability to work on your own after training, minimal oversight needed
- Some, light experience creating content (it doesn’t have to be formal — anything from published articles to creative Twitter threads to personal TikTok accounts)
- Ability to handle critical feedback and improve from it
- Comfortable with a small team
- Eagerness to collaborate and learn
- Experience working with a virtual team is a plus
