MIT Biotech Group Officer Application (2019-2020)
Want to learn more about the biotech industry? Want to make connections with professionals across a variety of biotech careers? MIT Biotech Group is recruiting leadership to incubate and execute on new initiatives across our portfolio of projects.

MBG is MIT's main connection with the biotech community in and beyond Boston. Officers and directors of the organization have the opportunity to execute their own events, drive and expand the vision of the group, and best leverage MBG's strong network of professionals and students interested in biotech. MBG leadership have a variety of training backgrounds and career interests within biotech.

This fall, we will be accepting applications to join an initiative as an Officer and work with our returning Directors and Executive Board. We are looking for students who are motivated to contribute to MBG's current and future projects and committed to taking advantage of the opportunities for impact and connection that being an officer provides. Note: This is not binding, we would just like to get a sense of the distribution of interests among incoming officers. We have 2 initiatives in MBG: Entrepreneurship and Industry. Entrepreneurship focuses on a range of areas around company formation, VC, and running early stage biotechs. Industry focuses on larger scale biotechs/ pharma and the variety of positions available to scientists in these arenas. We meet biweekly with the full MBG group and officers also meet with their initiatives and work under the leadership of their initiative's Directors.

Please note: While all students may attend MBG events, those chosen as officers are expected to biweekly full-group meetings, as well as an initiative meetings (generally after the full-group meeting or coordinated based on availability with officers). The tentative schedule for biweekly general meetings is Tuesday 6:30-8pm.
