About: The student intern is not a voting member of any student board. The student intern must have sufficient knowledge of the campus upon which they serve to effectively execute their duties. Therefore the intern must be a third-year or greater student, and be an academic good standing with their institution. The student intern will periodically engage in training activities for the student board. The student intern has a parallel position to the student president, but works directly for the Hillel organization not campus club. The student intern may act as peer staff upon the recommendation of the Director. (NOT EVERY INTERN WILL BE PEER STAFF) The Director is the interns immediate supervisor. However the Faculty Advisor and the Hillel Board President can override any Director initiated instructions. The student interns stipend is facilitated through the Hillel Board versus the campus club. The student intern will comply with their institution's code of student conduct. Any additional duties that are outside the purview of this agreement must be agreed upon by the Director and the Faculty Advisor, and then submitted to the intern in writing.

I agree to the following responsibilities (click all you agree to without reservation) :

Participate in monthly Campus Engagement Intern meetings, with either the Director or the Advisor.

Participate in leading the student leaders lunch meeting.

To attend as many of the advisory meetings as possible with a minimum of half per term.

Help recruit for a Birthright trip in summer, and potentially participate.

Utilize the assigned tracking system.

Build relationships with 50 uninvolved or new students during the academic year. (20 per semester & 10 during summer or winter-mester)

Engage with 30 marginally engaged students per year (or 15 per term.)

Explore and initiate collaborative relationships with other student organizations. (A minimum of 3 per academic year)

Manage a budget of $100 per 10 engagements for Coffee Connection meetings. Names and interest notes must be submitted no later than every 10 meetings or every 2 weeks.

Track and manage information about student relationships and interactions for quantitative and qualitative analysis of impact.

Write 2 articles about Hillel for Jewish periodical publication per year (1 per semester).

Write 1 student newspaper (Sagebrush) piece for engagement purposes, per year.

Encourage and support key student leaders’ on-campus civic or political pursuits. This includes the assumption of leadership positions in all ethical circumstances, with a focus on campus leadership.

Organize a Hillel student lobby visit with campus administration, NSHE, City government, County government, or State Legislature as appropriate.

Utilizing the goals and engagement targets which include the following:

Planning a spring Graduation event with a student ad hoc committee;

Co-Creating Birthright Marketing plan with the Director and student president;

Leading a student cohort to a conference or off campus event;

Working with ASUN at UNR to engage with and initiate relevant training programs.

ODA in 7 to 10 hour regular week

**The Hillel of Northern Nevada Campus Engagement Intern will receive a stipend of $1,000 to $2,000 per academic year from Hillel as agreed upon during the interview process

**An additional stipend from Hillel International may be added for fulfilling the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding and those of this contract.

**Campus Interns are expected to complete the full year and required tasks in order to be eligible for full compensation.

Interns will receive training and teaching opportunities and will be required to draft a final report.
