Terms and Conditions
• We provide services under most weather conditions (Rain, wind, snow, heat) However, if conditions are too severe and considered unsafe (heavy rain, lightning, etc), Pinto Carriage Works, LLC reserves the right to cancel the contract. In the event of a cancellation due to unsafe conditions or weather, a refund of the balance will be issued (minus travel fee if we have traveled to your Foxmeadow) within 30 days or the service can be rescheduled to a different day within 30 days of the original event day.
• Rain Policy: We monitor the weather forecast prior to an event and we suggest that you do as well. If the chance of rain is 40% or more, we suggest that you have a back-up plan. This is just in case the weather is too severe to provide an enjoyable and safe ride. We will operate in light rain. We will travel to the pick-up location on the day of the event and monitor the weather a few hours prior to the carriage’s start time. If conditions are not safe, we will contact you via the phone number that you have provided. We ask that if you are going to cancel due to the potential of rain, please do so 24 hours prior to your event.
• Hills, mileage, and unsafe road conditions must be agreed upon before acceptance.
• Changes in schedule must be given to Pinto Carriage Works, LLC 48 hours prior to the event date and must be in writing.
• If you need to make a cancellation, please do so at least 24 hours prior to your event. A full refund will be issued. Direct contact will need to be made if you plan on canceling. You must speak to someone in person. No answering machine messages will be accepted for cancellations.
• Color of horse and carriage choice can be requested - but not guaranteed.
• A 15 minute grace period is allotted for both parties, for any unseen emergencies.
• Pinto Carriage Works, LLC reserves the right to cancel service for circumstances beyond our control (Horse illness, equipment failure, etc). In this rare event, a full refund will be given to client within 30 days.
• Client gives permission to use any photographs taken to be used for marketing purposes.
• To ensure our horses’ safety, we ask that no birdseed/rice be used around the carriage. Please use an alternate "send off" (e.g. bubbles, flower petals). If using sparklers, guests must stand 15 feet from the horse at all times. Approval of sparklers is needed ahead of time so that the horses are prepared. No other fireworks are to be used.
• Passengers must remain seated while carriage is in motion. Children under the age of 12 years must have a parent’s permission and be accompanied by an adult before riding in the carriage.
WARNING: Under Florida Law, an equine sponsor or equine professional is not liable for any injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities. FL SS Chapter 93-169, Section 773.01
I have read and agree to all of the terms listed on the contract sent to me. I understand that Pinto Carriage Works, LLC is not responsible for any negligence on the part of the person(s) riding in the carriage or person(s) attending, viewing the event, inclusive of hired vendors servicing the event.
