CHHHS Research & Innovation Symposium Virtual Escape Room

We designed this virtual escape room for people who are inquisitive about understanding research but daunted by the methodology section of research journal articles.

This escape room could be useful for anyone who:

  • skips right over the methodology section of a journal article

(or *gasp, only reads the abstract).
  • would like to engage more deeply with research presentations

(such as those at the Symposium).
  • wants to read research more critically.

  • is interested in undertaking a research project.

Escape rooms are puzzle-solving games, usually played by teams. This year our virtual escape room is in beta-testing mode. Your job is to move through the virtual room to find clues and solve them in the correct order. We have designed this virtual escape room to be solved by individuals, at their own pace.

In this virtual escape room, you will begin a research project. All projects start with a problem, a question and a review of the literature. While the “theme” of the escape room is a clinical scenario, you do not need to be a clinician to play.

All the best & enjoy! Lydia, Rae &Tony
