This presentation will cover IRB-related questions for those embarking on projects in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. It will explain what "human subjects" research is and when SOTL needs IRB Review; IRB review levels and examples of SOTL that fall into those categories; the exemption category for education research; other regulatory requirements for SOTL projects, such as FERPA considerations
