We are inviting schools in St Austell and Bodmin catchments to apply to take part in an exciting opportunity run by the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Digital Skills Partnership with funding from Cornwall Council. The project is to support schools to develop a Code Club in KS2 to increase the levels of primary school leavers who have coding skills.  We are specifically hoping to encourage more girls into technology.  Pupils will learn to code and get to explore a range of different digital tools provided by us. The project is completely FREE and will involve minimum input from teaching staff as our staff will help to recruit and train parent volunteers to run the club. The parents running the projects will have support from our team to delivering the code club. Providing an opportunity for parents to learn new skills whilst inspiring the tech stars of the future. This is a pilot and therefore we have limited spaces available. At this point we are registering interest in the clubs to then begin recruiting training parents in July ready to start rolling out the club in September.
