The Circular Sanitation Toolbox is currently being developed within Eawag's Water Hub Innovation Platform by Rosanne Wielemaker, Monica Conthe, Giuseppe Congui, and Eberhard Morgenroth.

Water Hub The Water Hub is part of the NEST building, a living laboratory by Empa and Eawag. In the basement of NEST, Eawag researchers run the Water Hub. Wastewater from NEST is collected here to be handled as a resource rather than a waste: we treat wastewater to recover nutrients, clean water, and energy. This allows to reduce pressure on the environment and its resources. __________________________________
Eawag is the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology and is part of the ETH Domain. Firmly anchored in its home country of Switzerland, but with a global network, Eawag is concerned with concepts and technologies for dealing sustainably with water bodies and with water as a resource. The Institute thus serves as a bridge between the scientific world and the ‘real world’.
