Youth Leadership Application, Rising Youth Theatre
Journeying Artistic Collaborator: 10 Hour / Week (2 positions available)

Time Commitment:

10 hours / week, July 19 2021 - June 30, 2022
$13/hour, includes paid time off, sick time, etc.
Starting commitment is a one week retreat, July 19 - July 24, 2021 (please hold full days, times TBD)
Additionally during the weeks of July 26 - August 6, 2021 - please hold weekday afternoons for specific trainings to be scheduled based on participant availability

Includes attendance at leadership meetings as well as specific focuses within the work of the organization. Attends the same regular training/learning opportunities as the apprentice cohort, but is also working directly for the organization.

Rising Youth Theatre Journeyers are a critical part of the leadership team, working alongside the rest of the staff and board to set the vision for Rising Youth moving forward. They are ready to dive all the way in and make a meaningful commitment to being part of the team. We are looking for people who want to find an artistic home in a creative ensemble.

This is a position for a young person, recommended ages 16-20. Previous experience working with Rising Youth Theatre is required for this position, as is a willingness to learn, commit, and collaborate.  



Apprentice Artistic Collaborator: $1,000 Annual Stipends, paid quarterly (4 positions available)

Time Commitment:

Attending at least one meeting / week
Attending regular training / learning opportunities (at least once / month)
Participation in Rising Youth Theatre productions in some capacity
Apprentices will focus on learning, growth, and training in the first half of the year and take on a specific project in the second half of the year

Specific schedules will be built around the needs of participants and the Rising Youth Ensemble

Starting commitment includes the following days:

July 26 - August 6, 2021 - please hold weekday afternoons for specific trainings to be scheduled based on participant availability

Rising Youth Theatre Apprentices are in a learning space, and are working alongside the leadership team to grow the organization as well as strengthen their own leadership. This position is meant to serve as an introduction to the work of Rising Youth Theatre at every level of the organization, and will create opportunities for learning in the artistic, administrative, production, and program design spaces of our work. This position has the potential to grow into a journeyer position in future years.

This is a position for a young person, recommended ages 14-18. Previous experience working with Rising Youth Theatre is recommended for this position, but not required. A willingness to learn, commit, and collaborate is required.
