Gender-Affirming Hormone Prescription Training
This course is designed for physicians (including residents and medical students) in Nova Scotia who wish to prescribe hormones for trans and gender diverse patients.  This course is done at your own pace as it is entirely based on online content.

Organized in partnership by prideHealth (http://pridehealth.ca) and the Community-Based Research Centre (http://cbrc.net) this training is entirely online and is self-directed learning. This course was designed with the Nova Scotia context in mind but the lessons are broadly applicable.

There are several lessons in this course. Participants will...
* watch a recorded presentation (approximately 30 minutes) by Stel Raven, MSW, RSW on gender-affirming care and the informed consent model
* watch a recorded presentation (approximately 60 minutes) by Dr. Sue Atkinson on prescribing gender-affirming hormones
* view a recorded Q&A and panel discussion (60 minutes)
* complete an online quiz to demonstrate learning (approximately 10 minutes)
* participate in a discussion forum to demonstrated applied learning (approximately 10 minutes)
* complete an immediate evaluation upon completing the quiz  (approximately 3 minutes)

Once you have completed this registration form, you will be directed to teachable.com where you will need to register (or use an existing acccount) to complete the course. Upon course completion, you can receive a certificate from College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Nova Scotia Chapter for 1 Mainpro+ credit.
