Join our Founder, Katherine Stievater, at an upcoming GapChat Live! session to learn more about Gap Years. If you have one question or want a deep dive on several topics, GapChat Live! is a great way to get up to speed on the benefits and planning process for Gap time. Each session will start with a quick overview of Gap Year basics, followed by time for questions and comparing notes with other families. Katherine founded
Gap Year Solutions because she feels strongly that many students can benefit from taking a step off the typical path, and become more confident, independent and self aware before college. She has four sons, including three who chose to take Gap Years and another who spent his junior year of high school in Spain. In addition to being an accredited Gap Year consultant, Katherine is a Member of the Advisory Board and Standards & Accreditation Committee of the Gap Year Association, is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), and speaks regularly about Gap Years to help raise awareness about this important post-secondary option.
