Chicago Full Moon Jam Fire Spinner 2022 Sign-Up Form
** PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY **

In order to ensure the safety of the event and all its attendees, ALL fire performers are required to attend the Full Moon Jam Level 1 Fire Safety Training. Starting in 2022, anyone that plans to take a Level 1 Fire Safety Training must sign-up in advance by filling out this form.

Once you have taken a Fire Safety Training Course, you are added to the Full Moon Jam Approved Performer List and permitted to participate in all Full Moon Jam events for the next 3 season (end of 2024), after which, you must take the training again to remain on the Approved Performer List. If you are not sure when you last took the training, feel free to send us an email to info@fullmoonjam.org (we also send email notices to those that need to renew their training).

We provide all fueling and safety gear as well as white gas at all Jam events, so the only thing you ever need to bring is fire-safe clothing (all cotton or natural fibers), your props, and water.

Please fill out this form to sign up to attend a Fire Safety Training and we will email you more information and the address/location of the training a couple days prior to the date you signed up for. Be patient if you don't hear anything, we are probably just very busy.

RESERVE JAMS
Reserve Jams are *participant-only* Fire Safety Training events held between the Full Moon Jams and hosted at a private outdoor venue near the Grand Blue Line stop near Halsted and Milwaukee.  New Fire Performers, volunteers, and photographers that sign up in advance are invited to attend our Fire Safety Training at 6:00pm and then join in a small fire spinning jam afterwards (until around 10pm). It is a fantastic opportunity for new-comers, experienced veterans and those interested in learning more about the Jams to come together and discover new ways to contribute towards building an uplifting community.

Reserve Jams are designed for those that have never taken a Level 1 Fire Safety Training before, or have not taken one since 2019 and would like to renew their status on the FMJ Approved Performer List, and for those interested in taking Level 2 Fire Science Training or Level 3 Fire Breathing Training.

LEVEL 2 FIRE SAFETY TRAINING (Reserve Jam Only)
Level 2 Fire Safety Training extends the concepts of Level 1 and fosters a deeper understanding of fire safety and how to organize a jam. We reinforcing important behaviors and expectations, and provide tools to assess unique fire safety situations. Level 2 is intended to make sure Jam volunteers and organizers are trained to share the same vocabulary and procedures, and to seek out further information, discuss, and promote fire safety within the community. Anyone interested in becoming a Full Moon Jam Organizer must attend a Level 2 Training.

Level 2 Trainings are held exclusively at The Reserve Jams and require Level 1 Training.

LEVEL 3 FIRE BREATHING (Reserve Jam Only)
All Fire Breathers (as well as their Personal Safeties) are required to take Level 3 Safety Training and must have approval from the FMJ Dragon Council before breathing at any Jam-related event. Fire Breathers must also bring their own UPLO (Ultra Pure Lamp Oil) as well as a professionally approved fire breathing performance bottle with their name clearly labelled on it.

Level 3 Safety Trainings are are held exclusively at The Reserve Jams and require Level 2 Training. You must bring your own designated safety (or have a fire breathing partner) to fire breath at a Jam.

Any fire spinner that has taken the training prior to 2018 and performed at a Jam may attend a refresher course prior to any Jam at 6:00pm sharp.
