1. To gather photos and videos of how math is all around us, in support of our non profit’s mission! Our volunteers have the flexibility of gathering photos and videos on their own time. For highschoolers, we give 1 volunteer hour for every 2 photos shared and and 1 credit for each video shared.
2. We also need volunteers for after school programs. They would be asked to go to the hosting elementary school for 5 weeks, one day a week from 3:15-4:45 and be an extra set of hands for our teachers. For highschoolers, each 5 week program would be 11 volunteer hours. We would reach out when schools sign up and give you the specific days and dates to consider.
3. Working at a booth or table at community events. (Playing our math games with kids and families so they can learn a little more about our mission.).
4. Writing Sidewalk Math Problems for our annual Community Math Walk Challenge that takes place in late May/early June.
Please provide us with the necessary information below and we will follow up to schedule a virtual training opportunity soon! (For a few more details, you can click on the link for Volunteer Opportunities below).
