Parent Helper Jobs - 2020

Dear Parents,

There are many opportunities for parents and family members to contribute and participate in our school community. Below are listed some of the ways you can assist. Some of the jobs are eligible for volunteer levy points.
Our volunteer levy is $200 (40 Points), 5 points is equal to $25. Please note that some of the jobs require you to have a Working with Children Check (WWCC). If you are willing to help in any of these areas please fill in this form.
The roles below have been filled for 2020 but maybe in 2021 we will be looking for new parents to take over these roles.

Folkie Festival Committee Member (2) 40 points each
Canteen Coordinator (1) 40 points
P & F Core Committee Member (eg. President, Vice President, Secretary) 40 points each
Uniform Coordinator (1) 40 points
Playgroup Coordinator (1) 40 points
Spring Fair Core Committee Member (3-4) 40 points
Family Liaison (1) 20 points
Funeral Catering Coordinator (1) 40 points
Donations Coordinator (2-3) Involves the sourcing of donations for a variety of fundraisers eg. Spring Fair, raffles, Trivia Night, Fashion Parade. Would report to the P & F Core Committee. 40 points
Breakfast Coordinator (1) Christmas, Mother's Day & Father's Day. 40 points

The following volunteer jobs are NOT eligible for volunteer points but we appreciate assistance filling them. Please select the jobs you are able to assist with:

Library - cover new books - Books are sent home with your child termly.

Library Reshelving - Your name will be added to a roster which is advertised in the newsletter.

Sick Bay Linen - Your name will be added to a roster which is advertised in the newsletter. The linen is sent home with your child.

Assist with Arts Program Terms 3 & 4 - Class lessons - Must have a WWCC

Classroom Helper - Class Lessons - Must have a WWCC

Meals on Wheels - Driver to accompany 2 students (Yr 3-6) - Must have a WWCC

The following jobs ARE eligible for volunteer points. Please select the jobs you are able to assist with:

Parent & Friends/School - Assist with providing food donations. Will be contacted when required. 5 points per donation.

Parents & Friends - Assist with catering events (food prep, waitressing, etc.). Will be contacted when required. 5 points per hour.

Folk Festival BBQ - Work 10 hours for a Folkie ticket. 40 points.

Folk Festival BBQ - Have your own ticket and do a 3 hour shift. 10 points per hour

Folk Festival Camping - Help with line marking and putting up lights the week prior to the festival. 5 points per hour.

Food Bank Meals - Make a meal for a school family in need. You will be contacted when meals are required. 5 points per donation.

Canteen Helper - Assist with making student lunches. 10 points per shift

Parents & Friends General Committee Member - Will not be given a role, would be part of discussions, sharing of ideas and supporting the Core Committee - must commit to attending 5 meetings per year. 5 points per meeting

Spring Fair Coordinator - Run a stall at the Spring Fair, includes sourcing/organising the goods for the stall, help with set up and pack up etc. 20 points

Classroom Reps - Each class has a Rep that the teacher, P & F or school may call on time to time to assist with organising help for class related activities such as Pancake Day, supplying slice of a Liturgy, paper work for Lice Checks, ring around for Food Bank Meals etc. ***Reps must attend one P & F meeting per term including the AGM. 40 points
