Summer is peak season for the bounty of agricultural products grown in our state. The NC Farm to Summer Challenge is a great way to celebrate North Carolina agriculture and be a part of the NC Farm to Summer initiative in 2024. To participate, complete one or more of the tasks below during NC Farm to Summer Week July 15-19 or any time this summer until August 16:
1. Serve - Incorporate locally grown foods into meals and/or snacks.
2. Teach - Teach and/or learn about local food, agriculture, and nutrition through farm to summer educational activities.
3. Post - Share and/or post about your farm to summer activities. For social media, use #NCFarmtoSummer and tag @NCSchoolMeals, @Ray4NCKids, and @F2SCoalitionNC.
4. Crunch - Register to participate in the 2024 #NCCrunch for Farm to School and Early Care and Education Month in October to taste and learn about North Carolina grown fruits and veggies,
