We may not be able to gather in person this year, but that won't stop us from a full night of online Torah learning on Shavuot - Thursday night, May 28, starting at 7pm and going until the cows come home!
The goal is to have lots of people sign up to teach, so that we'll have multiple sessions running concurrently, especially during the earlier part of the evening. There will also be at least one "Torah Slam" session, which will feature a sequence of short (5 minute) divrei Torah.
If you would like to teach during the Tikkun, please fill out this form. You don't have to be a rabbi or a Judaic studies professor to teach a great class! We welcome submissions on all kinds of topics: text study, history and culture, movement and meditation, music, you name it. Feel free to volunteer by yourself or with a co-teacher. If you would like to teach multiple sessions, please submit a separate form for each one.
For those in our community who do not use electronics on Yom Tov, there will be at least one session in the 7-8pm hour, prior to the start of the holiday (candle-lighting is 8:06pm). We'll then have a brief Maariv service and kick off the rest of the sessions.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 22. Please contact Adam Levine (
adamsimonlevine@gmail.com) if you have any questions.
