Summer Work Positions
Please note, the staff structure is a little different from past summer programs. Site Coordinators are supported by and answer to Regional Managers. Counselors and Jr Counselors work under the Coordinators. Outdoor Adventure Experts will be leading morning and afternoon enrichment sessions. Expect some differences in this new program.
We are hiring an Administrative Coordinator.
Responsibilities include:
* Site logistics, staff schedules, and data reporting

*Overall site performance

*Facilitate and troubleshoot clear communication through all channels, including parents, Sterling College staff and administrators, OSSU staff and administrators, the Regional Management Team, and the other Coordinators, Counselors, and Jr Counselors

*Responsible for ensuring that the daily schedule follows the Camp Rhythm, planning and leading last minute changes in schedule or staffing to help the program run smoothly

*The Administrative Site Coordinator is the main point of contact for everyone and is who is responsible for important decision making on site during daily programming

*Maintaining accurate, current, organized records on data points in accordance with the WonderKids Manual


Hours per week: up to 40, including trainings and planning  

Pay: $19 up to $22/hour

We are hiring a Behavior Coordinator.
Duties include:
* Reviewing registration information to understand needs in the group
* Working with the Behavior & Safety Manager to put supports in place and ensure supports are working correctly at the site
* Helping students de-escalate and return to group
* Assisting with activities if students need extra support
* Problem solving with the Behavior & Safety Manager to trouble shoot behaviors
* Filling out documentation of any incidents 
* Contacting parents if needed and connecting with parents at pick up time
* Supporting and fully participating in the program during times when behaviors are not flaring up

Hours per week: Up to 40 

Pay: $19 up to $22/hour

We are hiring a Health and Safety Coordinator
Responsibilities include:

*Be present on site and able to assist with medical emergency and non-emergency health needs

*Work with (collaborate and communicate with, delegate to, and receive instructions from) the Administrative and Behavior Coordinators before and during the camp session to ensure a safe, healthy camp environment for all

*Dispense medications and attend minor injuries

*Planning and oversight of afternoon snack

*Must have previous healthcare training/certification*

Hours per week: Up to 40 

Pay: $19 up to $22/hour

We are hiring Camp Counselors 
Responsibilities include:

*Ensure that you and your site are prepared for daily activities

*Ensure that Jr Counselors are supported to do the tasks assigned to them 

*Provide child supervision and program oversight that aligns with the WonderKids principles and values

*Set a positive example by embracing ALL aspects of the camp experience, whether chores or weather or schedule changes or enrichment activities

*Lead campers through all aspects of their camp day including meals, chores, free time, and enrichment activities

*Follow through in ALL aspects of the WORK, including preparation, set up, execution, cleanup, and debrief


Hours per week: up to 40, including trainings and planning

Pay: $14.50 up to $21/hour

We are hiring Jr Counselor positions.
Responsibilities include:

*Clearly communicate; understand instructions or ask for clarification–your supervisors don’t know what you don’t know unless you tell them!

*Help create a welcoming and supportive environment for all

*Follow through in ALL aspects of the WORK, including preparation, set up, execution, cleanup, and debrief as directed by your supervisors

*Set a positive example by embracing ALL aspects of the camp experience, whether chores or weather or schedule changes or enrichment activities

*Supervision of children for safety during the program, including frequent counting and check-ins, and behavior guidance and feedback


Hours per week: up to 35, including training 
Pay: minimum wage up to $20/hour
