What We're "Facing" as RCD Professionals
Spend a day building intentional connections with other RCD professionals as we collectively identify and explore common challenges, experiences, and leading tools and practices of the RCD profession. We will have a large group discussion and also break into smaller groups to explore topics related to your specific Facing(s). 

Data Governance and Working with Data
If you're an RCD professional, chances are your researchers face the challenge of managing data and keeping their data safe, secure, and FAIR. How can your organization best meet your researchers' needs with available resources? What is the current state of the art for research data lifecycle? Join us for a day of engaging conversion and collaboration, as we work towards outlining a future resource to support secure research data lifecycles. Whether your institution is large or small, we will address issues and offer breakout groups relevant to you.

With funding from the National Science Foundation, we are pleased to offer travel support -- including airfare, ground transportation, lodging, meals, and PEARC24 conference registration -- to a limited number of attendees from smaller U.S. institutions/programs and/or those who would be otherwise unable to attend RCD Nexus Day and the PEARC conference. We value and encourage participation from a diverse set of applicants. 

If you would like to be considered for travel support, please write a short essay below describing who you are as an RCD professional, where you work, and what you hope to get from attending RCD Nexus Day and the PEARC conference. (Max 150 words) Applications for support are due by Friday, May 17 and all applicants will receive notification by Friday, May 24. 

Completing this application does not guarantee you will receive support. If you are selected to receive support, you will be required to arrive in Providence prior to Sunday, July 21 and attend the full Nexus Day program.  

This support is intended for participants who will be unable to attend if they don't receive support. If you have other funding available to cover your travel, kindly leave this opportunity for those who truly need it. 

Because RCD Nexus Day overlaps with PEARC24 Student Program activities, we encourage students to first consider participating in that program rather than attending RCD Nexus Day.
