MICS workshop at MICS Babliak's Academy
Our team is specialized in minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS). We perform a range of “open-heart” surgical procedures minimally invasively, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), aortic valve replacement (AVR), mitral valve repair (MVR), tricuspid valve surgery, left atrial myxoma excision and correction of some congenital heart defect .
The most frequently performed procedure in our Center is multivessel CABG, which we routinely do through a left anterior minithoracotomy and we named it TCRAT (Total Coronary Revascularization via left Anterior Thoracotomy).
In general, workshop was designed for experienced cardiac surgeons who wish to perform minimally invasive cardiac surgery on a daily basis. Workshop consists of observing and discussing the cases of daily cardiac surgical practice and observing the real-life procedures and in-hospital postoperative course of patients. Usually, 80% of all cardiac surgical procedures we perform without median sternotomy. If you plan to see special procedures, please indicate this in the appropriate section below.
