Letter of Interest - Constellation Philanthropy
Constellation Philanthropy’s main vehicle for presenting opportunities to members is the Investment Forum, a half-day pitch and Q&A session that happens 3 times per year. Each member maintains complete decision-making control over their philanthropic dollars, investing only in the opportunities that spark their interest.
Investment Pipeline
Round 1: 15 - 20 opportunities
Round 2: 6 -8 opportunities
The Pitch: 3 opportunities
For opportunities to secure a pitch spot at our Investment Forums, the first step is for an organization that works with the pre-natal to age five population in Colorado to submit an idea tied to a funding request. Constellation Philanthropy staff will review the proposals and present to the member-comprised Investment Committee, who will then select 6 – 8 proposals to move forward.
Proposals best suited for success:
• Geared towards early childhood and related to the Colorado Early Childhood Framework focus areas of family support, health & well-being, or learning & development.
• Clearly demonstrate a “why” – what is the prevalence of your problem within the early childhood system and why is your project an appropriate solution?
• Focused on low-income populations throughout Denver Metro, although we consider proposals throughout Colorado based on a clearly demonstrated need.
• Typically, project-based, highlighting an innovation or filling a critical gap area.
• An opportunity for catalytic investment, either first dollar in or piloting a new concept.
• In the range of $50,000 - $175,000 for one year. We have done multiple year funding as well.
