India, with its diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage, is home to over 1.3 billion people and many ecosystems. It serves as a vibrant laboratory for conservation practices and leadership in sustainability. Conservation efforts in India have yielded significant successes, such as the commendable increase in the population of the Bengal Tiger, showcasing the profound impact of dedicated leadership and community involvement. This year, our theme canters on the critical and timely issue of conservation, aiming to inspire and cultivate a new generation of leaders equipped with a profound understanding of environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. Through participation in an online class, as well as a three-week trip through India, this program offers an unparalleled education in leadership, service learning, and global awareness.
360Plus will be selecting this year's Leadership Collective participants with an eye on applicants that can contribute to group learning and exploration of the many perspectives of conservation work. We want to see your potential as a leader who can help create awareness and prepare your community to actively conserve the environment in all its elements. This means you must be passionate about learning, able to persuade people to action, and ready to be part of a diverse group of learners.
Our 2024 online class will begin in mid to late May. Participants will complete weekly assignments and monthly projects, sharing stories from their own communities, learning about India's history and culture, and preparing for experiences and hands-on collaboration in India. In mid-July, Leadership Collective learners from around the world will travel together in India. 360Plus Foundation is proud to cover the costs of participation and travel for participants who cannot otherwise afford to travel. You must participate in the online course to be eligible to travel with us in India.
