ABOUT THE GOAT WALKABOUT:
The Goat Walkabouts are a therapeutic resource designed to take goats, which are a migratory animal normally enclosed into a corral on a farm and explore with them. The Goat Walkabouts are great for the goats because it gets them back into nature but the humans they accompany benefit from the interaction just as much. We all need our outdoors time and this is a super creative way to hit the Colorado trails.
The Goat Walkabouts program is an incredible resource for the family but it also supports PTSD recovery! Goat Walkabouts is quickly developing into an official occupational therapy non-profit organization. All support in our efforts to build the program are appreciated!
The difficulty level of the walkabouts vary upon location. We are permitted to Walkabout in certain parks with paved paths for those who cannot walk or need wheelchair access. We also have more moderate trails available as we are permitted in Jeffco Open Space. Just let us know your needs and we'll accommodate!
