Hello and welcome to the Narnia Faire! We appreciate all of our vendors and are very excited that you’re joining us! By signing this document, you acknowledge that you have read all articles and agree to the following requirements as listed:

I, __________________________ agree to follow the listed rules and regulations in agreement with the morals and ideals of The Narnia Faire. I understand that violating these rules could result in my being reprimanded, suspended, or asked to leave the event.

Language

Any and all profanity, including sexual or crude language or innuendo is strictly prohibited. Any true and real threats of violence are prohibited.

Respect For Authority

Understand that the founding committee will reserve the right to make any changes to costume, merchandise, or props that they deem necessary to the integrity of the event. By signing, you are stating that you will respect the final decision of those in authority. If you feel that there has been a misunderstanding, please let the committee know.

Respect for the C. S. Lewis company and the memory of Professor C. S. Lewis

Any and all merchandise or artwork can be subject to inspection by the committee and the C. S. Lewis company. Anything that would not have had the approval of the Professor will not be allowed at the event. This is his work and in his memory we want to align to his wants and ideals for his creation as closely as we can.

Dress Code

All vendors and cast agree to coming in a Narnia relevant costume to keep the event as immersive as possible. Please remember that this is a G rated event. Any costumes that could be considered ‘suggestive’ will be required to make changes. This includes excessive cleavage, mid drift, or display of undergarments. Any and all costumes are required to gain approval of the committee before the 20th of March, 2024.

Images

No booth or vendor is allowed to display inappropriate images or items. No images of graphic violence, blood or guts. Sexually suggestive or immodestly dressed character drawings are not allowed. Remember this is a family friendly event.

*Potions are alright as long as they are not of the spellcasting variety. If it’s simply something to boost your speed or stamina, that’s acceptable. Since Lucy used a cordial in the books that was given to her by father Christmas. A cordial is an invigorating or stimulating preparation (usually a drink) that is intended for a medicinal or self help purpose, very similar to a healing potion.

*Crystals: We are completely fine if you want to sell crystals and other stones. However, we would ask that if you do, you do not publicize their healing or their manifestations of power, since that would go against the guidelines given to us.

*Please ask us for clarification if you have any questions on a specific piece or rule.

Positioning Guidelines: Anything that could be disturbing to young children please do not position to the front of the booth. You are permitted to sell artwork that involves skulls and mild violence (such as knights fighting or dueling) but we ask that you do not display it where a young child could be frightened by it since this is an event geared toward families that may have young children.

We have the right to ask that an art piece be moved further to the back of your booth or pulled back from the event altogether if we find that it conflicts with the event’s values or goes against our regulations.

Weapons

Any bladed weapons are required to be peace tied. Exceptions for performances and demonstrations can be made. No bladed weapons are permitted to be sold to those under 18 years of age.

Smoking

For the comfort and safety of guests and staff, smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are only permitted in designated areas.

Alcoholic Beverages

No alcohol is permitted on site or to be sold.

Unsafe Acts

Engaging in any unsafe act that could cause injury to guests or cast are strictly prohibited.

Law Compliance

The Narnia Faire is committed to providing a safe environment. In addition to our Code of Conduct, guests and cast are required to follow all local, state and federal laws, rules and on-site instructions.
