Those seeking assistance must meet the following income and eligibility requirements. An "eligible household" is defined as a renter household where one or more individuals:
- has qualified for unemployment benefits or experienced a reduction in household income or has incurred significant costs or experienced financial hardship directly and/or indirectly related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- can demonstrate a risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability including:
- a past due utility
- rent or eviction notice
- any other evidence of such risk
- has a household income at or below 80 percent of the area median income (AMI)
- Citizen of Kearney or Holt, MO
Funding Requests will be reviewed by members of the Kearney Enrichment Council team. We will reach out to you if we need additional information about your request. Please be sure to use information that is up to date. We will work as quickly as we can on your application, but please still expect 4-6 weeks for responses.
*In addition, the Kearney Enrichment Council has full authority to deny your application if not all the criteria are met, or for other outlying reasons not listed on this form.
*The KEC only supports a maximum of $500 per household per year.
