We are currently asking that if you want to enter the ride please wait to pay if doing so online. If the ride gets to happen we will then take your payment but don't want to be holding on to your money.
Welcome to the Wild West Pioneer, a 4 day 200 mile adventure through scenic trails in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Mountains. Come take on the only 4 day in Northern California or join us for a day or two to experience the allure of our trails.
Ride is limited to the first 60 paid entries as parking is limited. We reserve the right to refuse entry for any reason. Please come prepared to clean up your hay and manure. Hoof protection required. To enter the ride you must pay your entry when you sign up!!!
The campground officially opens Wed at 10am but if you are riding thurs you are welcome to come before and pay the Forest Service directly. If you have a large rig, a LQ with 4 horses or more ect, we suggest you arrive early and let us know so we save a large rig spot for you. Everyone will be parked by one of our team and it is tight. There is always a driver available to get our rig in for those that need help backing in.
Thursday we are only accepting entries that are riding more than one day. This will help with the parking and let us ease into the ride. Please car-pool when possible and extra cars will be charge $25 per night. If you are staying over a day between the days you are riding, for example riding fri and sun, there is a $30 camping fee for the day you’re not riding. This is waived if you volunteer the day not riding.
No new entries after June 14th but if you’re in the computer you can make changes at the ride. Days can be added if there’s space available at $135 per day. If your horse gets pulled future days not ridden will be refunded on request minus the camping fee. Refunds are given through paypal or venmo, no checks. Cancellations received by 6/1 will receive a refund minus a $25 admin fee. No refunds for cancellations after 6/1 unless accompanied by a letter from your vet. Checks will be cashed as they arrive.
NEW THIS YEAR: Save money on your entry by adopting a trail. Sign up to adopt a loop of the ride and get a days free entry. Loops are 25-30 miles. You will be responsible for riding the trail 3 times. In May to nip brush growth, in June before the ride to check ribbons and after the ride to pull the ribbons. We are willing to show you the trail, provided detailed maps, directions and will pre mark corners to help you navigate. Adoption can be split between two friends so you each get half off and can ride it together.
Also discounts available on entries for people that volunteer 2 or more days at the ride or before the ride. Or bring a spouse or friend to volunteer during the ride to earn you discounts. CAN YOU TELL, WE NEED HELP! It take a lot of people to make a big ride smooth and we can’t do it without volunteers
If you have question please e-mail
wildwestendurance@gmail.com or text Elicia at 707-498-7306. As I’m working on trail all of May and June I don’t have reception during the day and it’s hard to call and reach me.
