We're also doing things a little different this year - we've created the LGBTQ+ Champion Award, to honor a faculty/staff and student that you feel has contributed positively to Evergreen's LGBTQ+ campus community. If you have someone you would like to nominate someone for this award, let us know who and why you would like us to honor them.

This is the 3rd Annual Lavender Graduation Ceremony at Evergreen, and it is a time to celebrate the academic achievements of graduating LGBTQQIAA+ students.

Lavender Graduation's origins began in 1995 at University of Michigan and coordinated by Dr. Ronnie Sanlo, who was inspired by cultural graduation ceremonies that were held in honor of Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and Asian students, as well as her own experience of being barred from attending her children’s graduation ceremonies due to her sexual orientation. 25 years later, it is has become an annual tradition for colleges and universities nationwide.

When:
Lavender Graduation will be held, online, on June 11, 3:00pm-4:30pm.

How:
Our office will contact you via email, to confirm that we have received your RSVP.
We will also send you, via email, the program and instructions for you to join the online ceremony as well.

Should you have any questions or concerns, or have specific accommodation needs, please contact Amira Caluya at caluyaa@evergreen.edu
