Sign Up for the Sounds of Summer Band Camp! For the sixth year, we are offering a local band camp at Ligon August 5th-9th.

The camp is designed from 9am-12pm to start Beginning Band with small group instruction, a camp for Percussion Ensemble, and another camp 9-12 for Jazz Big Band and some advanced combo training.

A full Ligon Concert Band section open to all students with at least 1 year of band experience from 1-4pm.

The camp in ends on Friday the 9th with performances from 1-2:00pm, including the morning camp.

* No previous jazz experience is needed for the jazz camp and all band instruments welcomed (flute, oboe, bassoon clarinet etc.)

The camp is casual attire and includes a free t-shirt. All are welcomed.

$150 Morning Session Only- Morning (Beginning Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz)

$150 Afternoon Session Only (Concert Band)

$250 for both Morning and Afternoon Camps (Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble and Concert Band Camps)

Beginning Band (new to instrument) 9AM-12PM Mon-Thur with Friday Informance at 1PM small group lessons and camp t-shirt(if you rented your instrument from music and arts at our spring mtg, it will be waiting for you at the camp)

Jazz Camp- Big Band and Combo Training 9AM-12PM Mon-Thur with Friday Performance (camp includes t shirt) does not require experience, open to all band instruments

Summer Band- 1-4pm Concert Band and small group lesson with all county/district solos breakouts (Camp includes instructor, small group lesson and camp t-shirt, at least 1 year experience in band)

Any Ligon Alum can attend the camp as “camp counselors” free

Percussion Ensemble 9AM-12PM (camp includes t shirt) percussion background preferred or strong piano
