Whether you've been an economics major since orientation, or just listened to Freakonomics and got interested in the discipline, we would love to have you join us. Our membership is made up of majors spanning the fields of biology, engineering, mathematics, political science, and, of course, economics. We hope you'll join us, even if you're only "marginally" interested.
All students are welcome and encouraged to join the Economics Society! We offer a wide array of events focused on building academic capital (academic lectures, research panels & presentations), human capital (professional development events), and social capital (social & cultural events). In addition, we run a mentorship program each semester to connect underclassmen with upperclassmen students. Every year, we accept applications for the Associates program, a unique year-long program that exposes underclassmen to graduate-level economics research and sets them up for undergraduate research and later graduate school.
To be a member of Economics Society, we require that you attend at least TWO (2) events per semester.
