A little about us in case you didn't read it on the website: we are a family run business that has been breeding Drahthaars in the VDD system since 1987, and Mike has had Drahthaars since 1982. We have an eleven generation mother line (that means we keep our own females each generation to hunt, train, test, and certify and have for eleven generations) that began with Arrow vom Jagdkonig from our first litter in 1987 and continues today. We have produced 76 litters at this point and have hunted, trained, and tested our own dogs. Three of us in the household are JGHV performance judges and VDD breed judges.

There are a few aspects of our puppy buying process that we want people to know up front. 
1. We do not ship our puppies. 
2. We only sell our puppies to hunting homes.
3. We match our puppies with their new homes based on an extensive process of relationship building that will entail speaking with you on the phone, corresponding via email and text message, and your filling out this form accurately and completely. To be clear, you do not pick your own puppy and there is no "pick order." 
4. If you are interested in getting a dog certified to be bred in the VDD system, we will do everything we can to assist and support you in that endeavor. We do NOT condone people using dogs from our kennel to breed outside of the VDD system.

We typically match puppies with prospective buyers between 6-8 weeks of age based on the information you provide to us (via months of speaking and corresponding including the information on this form) and our comprehensive knowledge of our own puppies. Our selection process evaluates physical, mental, and hunting propensities, physical characteristics, DNA results, and a variety of exercises we complete with our puppies. Our expertise is based on 76+ litters of Drahthaars, our experience with Drahthaars in general (three of us are performance and breed judges), and the more than eleven generations of hunting, training, and testing the dogs in our puppies' lineage. We ask only that you are honest with us.
