Cafe Chat
The purpose of the Zoom Cafe Chat is to get together to discuss the pedagogical aspects outlined in preselected instructional videos on reading. To ensure the topics are relevant to resource, we will also discuss how the strategies can be used to best support students with special needs, and struggling readers in elementary and high school classrooms. These discussions will conclude by sharing practical classroom and distance learning ideas. The videos retained are from The Reading League, are research-based, and focus on one of the aspects of The Big 5 of Reading. They will be sent to you by email, along with a Zoom link, one week prior to the discussion. They will be accompanied by a brief description. Based on the description, you can choose to attend the Zoom session or not. Viewing of the video is to be done at your convenience, prior to the video club meeting. Meeting dates, frequency, and time preferences are included in the survey. Please continue the survey ONLY if you are interested in participating. Please register by November 15th. I look forward to chatting pedagogy with you!
