The program teaches photography, critical thinking, writing, and public speaking with the goal of fostering self-esteem, community development, and social change. Students have access to an onsite classroom/studio, black-and-white darkroom. Each semester ends with a presentation for family and friends to celebrate students’ achievements.
Classes are free. Film, paper and processing materials are provided. Students in need of a film camera may borrow one. If you have questions, contact Abigail (amontes@thepoint.org) & Tiffany (twilliams@thepoint.org).
