Nonpublic Request for Transportation

The provisions of Ohio law grant parents of chartered nonpublic or community school students in grades Kindergarten through 8th the option of requesting transportation service for their child(ren) if the following conditions prevail:

1. Student is a resident of the Reading Community City School District; and,

2. The nonpublic school of attendance is no more than thirty (30) minutes traveling time from what would be the public school of attendance (810 E Columbia Ave, Reading, OH 45215); and,

3. Student is in grades Kindergarten through 8 and lives more than two miles from the chartered nonpublic or community school of attendance.

ONLY IF APPLICABLE

Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to request transportation ONLY if all of the following apply:

1. Student lives more than two (2) miles from Reading Jr/Sr High School at 810 E. Columbia Ave 45215; and,

2. Student is a resident of the Reading Community City School District; and,

3. School of attendance is a chartered nonpublic or community school not more than thirty (30) minutes traveling time from what would be the public school of attendance (810 E Columbia Ave, Reading, OH 45215).

Deadline to request is Monday, July 15, 2025 for the 2024-2025 School Year.
