Multi-season Entry Level Competitive Coach (ELCC) Training: May 3-5, 2024

Course dates:
  • May 3: 7:00pm-9:00pm (virtual)
  • May 4: 12:00pm-5:00pm (in-person, location TBC)
  • May 5: 9:00am-1:00pm (in-person, location TBC)
  • June 8: In-person practicum and C15 Training
This course is for any coaches seeking certification for more than just the Summer season.  Content will be directed to those who are coaching during the Spring, Fall, and Winter months in addition to summer.  Another offering of the ELCC training will be provided for those only coaching in the Summer. The content is neither more or less, better or worse; it is catered for appropriateness of the skills needed for that level of coaching. 

Registrants must have access to Google Classrooms for completion of assignments.  The following NCCP Modules are required to be considered trained and eligible for coaching:
  1. NCCP Planning a Practice
  2. NCCP Teaching and Learning
  3. NCCP Making Ethical Decisions and Evaluation
  4. NCCP Making Headway in Sport
  5. NCCP Sport Nutrition
  6. Safe Sport Training
Coaches must also hold a valid Pleasure Craft Operator License.

ELCC Training Course Fee: $250.00 payable by e-transfer to treasurer@adckc.ca.  Payment must be made in full to receive credit for the course.  Note: this fee does not require the evaluation to obtain "Certified" status. Only "Trained" status is required to coach, per Canoe Kayak Canada regulations.
