Parent Commitment | As a parent/guardian of a CCS student, I support and pledge the following:
1. I agree to pay tuition within the time frames stipulated. I understand that failure to maintain my account in good standing may result in my child being withdrawn from CCS.
a. Tuition will be payable in the sum of $250 per child with a multiple children cap amount of $600. Non-payment of tuition fees, late payment, or returned checks are grounds for dismissal from Calhoun City Schools. If a student is dismissed from school due to a contract violation, tuition fees are nonrefundable.
b. More information regarding tuition payment is available at
www.calhounschools.org under “About CCS / Enrollment and Registration.”
2. I understand that my student must maintain academic, attendance, and disciplinary standards as established by the school. Failure to do so may result in immediate dismissal. At a minimum an annual review will be conducted on academic, attendance, and disciplinary records to determine continued enrollment. Notification of discontinued enrollment status will be made by June 30 of each year. A student may formally appeal the decision of the Principal to the Superintendent. There is no appeal beyond the decision of the Superintendent.
3. I recognize that attendance is very important and that my child’s attendance is reflected in the school’s annual CCRPI grade. Any student with 6 or more absences is counted against the school’s grade. Therefore, I will try to keep all absences and tardies (including early checkouts) to a minimum. Any excessive absences or tardies may result in non-resident probation.
4. I am committed to serve as a collaborator with the faculty, administration, other parents, and students to achieve excellence in the education of my children. I will actively support school activities and events by volunteering my time and/or resources. I will support the school’s policies and rules. I will attend required parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with my child’s teacher, administrators, and other school staff.
5. I understand that a tuition student may be removed from CCS for failure to maintain acceptable behavior, attendance, and academics; failure to make tuition payments in accordance with Board procedures; or other good and sufficient cause.
