Application to Liberal Memorial Library Teen Advisory Group
Want to make a difference at the Library and in the community? Join the Teen Advisory Group to help brainstorm & implement programs, recommend additions to the YA collections, and advocate for teen interests! TAG will meet monthly over snacks and discuss what books the library should get and what upcoming events the library should plan.
All applicants will be accepted, so we want to know a bit about you! Submitting the completed application will add you to the e-mailing list.
Application Qualifications
Must be a 6th-12th grade student
Must be willing to commit 1 hour every month for meetings or programs
Must enjoy working in a team environment
Must be interested in the library and improving library services for other teens
Must attend at least three YA programs yearly
Teen Advisory Group Guidelines
Meetings begin on time.
Sign in and out of meetings to record volunteer hours.
Participate fully, please turn all electronic devices to silent and use them minimally.
Respect the staff, each other, and the library.
Attend as many meetings as possible.
Attend as many YA programs as possible and help with the setup and cleanup.
Be a responsible library user and a role model at TAG and other library functions; act in a way that reflects positively on Liberal Memorial Library.
Be an advocate. Promote reading and library use.
