RRCHNM invites graduate students in the Department of History and Art History and other departments at GMU to apply for affiliation with our research center for the 2021–2022 academic year.
Graduate student affiliates should intend to pursue advanced, independent research in digital history. This program is not a research assistantship nor an introduction to DH; rather, it is a support structure for graduate students moving beyond coursework to scholarship in digital history in their own right. It is also an avenue for graduate students in departments outside HIST/ARTH to affiliate with and collaborate with RRCHNM.
Graduate student affiliates agree to be active participants in the intellectual community at RRCHNM. This will normally mean attendance at RRCHNM public events; participation in at least one of RRCHNM’s working groups; and preparation for or work on research in digital history. Graduate students accepted as affiliates will receive support for their research and scholarly development, including support from our intellectual community, access to our digital research infrastructure, faculty and staff mentorship, publicity for your work, and other kinds of support as possible, as well as the right to claim membership at RRCHNM.
Applications will be reviewed and affiliates accepted twice per year, before the start of the fall and spring semesters. For questions about affiliation with RRCHNM, please contact Lincoln Mullen <
