MAGIS may be a familiar term to some of you -  there are many interpretations of this classic Jesuit motto including - "doing that which is more aligned with the end for which we were created: to praise, reverence, and serve." 

At SSOM our student organization MAGIS hopes to embody that which the Jesuits intended as well as to stand for: Medical Association Guided by Ignatian Spirituality. 

MAGIS is guided by Jesuit principles serving as a home for Catholic students on campus, but is open to all regardless of faith background or lack thereof. This fall we are planning on hosting small group reflections based on Ignatian practices including the Examen, visiting local Catholic churches for masses, and serving together at Mission of our Lady of the Angels in West Humboldt Park.
