Neurodata Without Borders SfN social
Hello SfN attendees! We welcome you to attend the Neurodata Without Borders SfN Social. Neurodata Without Borders (NWB) is a standard for neurophysiology data that promotes open science by establishing a common way of specifying data and metadata from neurophysiology experiments such as electrophysiology, optical physiology, optogenetics, and behavior. The ecosystem being built around NWB includes DANDI, an archive for sharing and publishing NWB files, and a large and growing collection of state-of-the-art analysis and visualization tools. You can learn more about NWB at our website, www.nwb.org.

In this social, we are bringing the various users of NWB together, and providing a platform for people new to NWB to learn about all the tools that are now available. The event will be held on gather.town, which is like Gameboy Pokemon meets Zoom. You'll create an avatar that you can use to navigate the space and video chat with NWB users and developers.
The gather.town link is here: https://gather.town/app/0OAkCrrOvERl0OTa/NWB_DANDI_Hackathon
The meet-and-greet portion is Nov 10 from 4:30 to 5:30 CT
We will be in this space through Wednesday, so feel free to come in and say hi.

You also have the option to schedule a 1-on-1 with an NWB developer. If you are interested in adopting NWB, we recommend scheduling a meeting to learn about what conversion, analysis, visualization and publication tools are available that might be relevant for your specific dataset.
