Parents as Teachers is a FREE program
offered by the Neosho School District and it is open to all families with
children from birth to kindergarten entry. We also do prenatal
visits.
We'll help you learn what
to expect from your child at each stage of development, as well as provide you
with activities to help you get them ready for school. What you'll get when you
become a part of Neosho Parents as Teachers:
- Monthly or
bi-monthly visits that fit your schedule (we do evening and weekends).
Ideally visits will take place at your home, but we can also meet at the
Parents as Teachers office, the park, the library, or wherever you feel
the most comfortable.
- Yearly
developmental screenings for your child to make sure they are on track for
hitting those developmental milestones!
- Group
connections and playgroups where your child can have fun and make new
friends. Maybe mom and dad can make new friends too!
- A free book at
every visit. We want to everyone to know how important it is to make book
sharing a part of their child's daily routine.
