How should the infield position themselves once the ball is hit?

The SS should stand in front of the pitcher’s mound to try and cut off throws to home plate.

If the ball is hit to RF, the 1B needs to cover his base to try and receive a throw from the right fielder to try and get a force out at 1B.

If the ball is hit to RF, the 3B needs to come over and cover 2B since the second baseman is a cutoff man.

If the ball is hit to RF, right away the 1B should know he’s the cutoff man between home plate and RF so he needs to position himself on the cutoff line.

What should the runners on base do once the ball is hit?

Runners should hold up and make sure the ball isn’t caught by the right fielder

Runners should try and tag up if the ball is caught.

Runners should be advancing to the base on contact as there are already two outs.

Runners should look at the base coach in front of them to see if they should advance.
