We are reliant on volunteers to lead our walks, so any walks you offer will be much appreciated!

Please fill out this form to register as one of our walk leaders. You only have to fill out this form once. This means that you will only need to provide your email address when you submit a walk.

Note that from 15th May 2024, all new walk leaders will need to complete two mandatory e-learning modules (taking about an hour each) before leading your first walk. Details should be provided in a welcome email from Ramblers. This does not apply if you're already an existing Ramblers walk leader (for any group), in which case completing these is optional.

Once we've passed your details to Ramblers head office, it may take them up to a week to register you and provide access to the training. Please bear this in mind when planning a date for your first walk.

By completing this form, you consent for us to store your details in connection with your role as a walk leader. If you need to update any of these details, or wish for your details to be removed, please email the walks coordinator.

For insurance purposes, all walk leaders need to be Ramblers members and registered as Ramblers volunteers. The details you provide here will be used to register you as such.

This is the name which will be visible to everyone who looks at our website. Usually, people choose just to use their first names e.g. “Sam”, unless there are several walk leaders with the same first name e.g. “Dan H”.

Please provide the number which walkers can use to contact you regarding your walks.

This will be displayed on the website, and should be a mobile number on which people can contact you on the day of the walk if necessary. Most leaders use their usual number, but if you are concerned about sharing this, consider using a cheap second pay-as-you-go phone or SIM.

If you have a particular issue with your phone number being published, please speak to the walks coordinator so we can find an alternative solution.

If you have a meetup account, we can add you as an event host for your walks. This will allow you to respond to questions about your walk and interact with the people who have signed up. The Berkshire Walkers committee will also host the event, and look out for questions. Please provide a link to your profile, or leave blank if you do not wish to be added.
