5 STEPS OF THE REGISTRATION & CREDIT RECOVERY PROCESS
  1. Submit Registration Form: Once a registration form is submitted. Please make sure to provide current working phone numbers and emails.
  2. Watch for Confirmation Email of Recovery Plan: Soon after you will receive an email response from either the SSC secretary or the school counselor/case manager (a special education case manager will be the point of contact for students with an IEP).
  3. Watch for Fee Payment Email: Please be prepared to pay the initial fee to get started. Mrs. Pilon will communicate by email what is due and when. Students who've successfully completed their attempted course(s) will receive a reimbursement in late September. (Additional fee payment details are below.)
  4. Watch for Teacher Welcome & Expectation Email: Before a session begins, students and parents should watch for an email from their assigned teacher.
  5. Recovered Credits Applied: All verified recovered credits will be added to students' transcripts by mid-October. For an updated transcript we suggest ordering a copy on the OHS-Parchment Portal, www.ReachHigherOHS.org/transcript
SESSION 1 & 2 SCHEDULES
Frequently Asked Questions:
  • How Many Credits Can I Recover? A maximum of two (2) .50 credit attempts are allowed per session. Attendance in both sessions provides students the opportunity of recovering 2.0 full credits.
  • Why Consider Session 1? If you already know you have more than two half credits to recover, it is best to register for both sessions in order to ensure your seat in both sessions, and allow ample time to recover as many credits as possible spanning both sessions. IMPORTANT WARNING: Session 1 seats are always in high demand and they are filled first-come-first-serve, so be sure to register early.
  • Why Consider Session 2? If you are waiting on Semester 2 grades to help you decide if you need summer school, signing up for Session 2 will give you more time to wait-and-see. In these cases, the fee for Session 2 will not be required until that session begins. This will allow for more time to withdraw your registration IF you learn you've passed the course.
NOTE: Space in each session is limited and seats are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

SESSION SCHEDULE: You will be asked in the registration process below, to commit to one or both sessions listed below.

  • Hours: 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
SESSION 2: July 8th-August 8th
