Semester Success Summer Workshop
Based on Ramp Coaching’s 25 Tips for First-Year College Students, Ramp Coaching’s Semester Success Workshop prepares rising first-year college students for the transition from high school to college.
Even the most academically-prepared students report that the overall adjustment to college is pretty challenging. In three half-days, you will learn how to make the most of your first year of college, all while becoming more aware of your strengths and interests.
Semester Success Workshop covers the most important things you need to do to have a successful first year of college.
Where?
Anywhere you have an internet connect ion and access to a computer (rather than a smart phone. The program is conducted on Zoom.
Format?
The workshop is discussion-based. Former RAMP clients who are now college students serve as peer mentors. Pre-recorded videos can be watched before meetings and accessed throughout the fall semester, once the workshop is completed.

- study habits; college-success habit formation
- understanding course expectations and syllabi
- Communications with professors and college staff
- seeking available campus support resources
- breaking down assignments; planning papers and writing tips
- self-awareness, self-reflection, and self-accountability

Rate and Payment
The 9-hour group workshop plus two 1-hour individual coaching sessions is $690 ($25 discount if paid by check).
