The RBC OUTShine Awards
Let’s SHINE a light on our community! The RBC OUTShine awards recognize those who have made a significant contribution to the growth and development of a strong and vibrant 2SLGBTQ+ community, whether through volunteering their time, community organizing, or fighting for Two Spirit, Trans, and Queer rights. We invite you to nominate community members who have made a difference and continue to enact social change in Saskatoon and area. Award recipients will be selected by a diverse committee and the awards will be presented at  OUTSaskatoon’s GLITTER gala on Saturday, May 28th, 2022.  

Nomination Categories:
 
RBC OUTStanding Award
 
This award is open to those who have made significant contributions to the Two Spirit, Trans, and Queer community through years of service and/or for activities that have had a significant impact on the community or a segment of the community. Nomination criteria may include dedicated service, leadership, volunteerism,  activism, development, and/or research.  

RBC KnockOUT  

This award is open to an individual, organization, or business within or outside of our community who have made significant contributions to our community. Nomination criteria may include community support,  leadership, activism, and a general openness, understanding, and support of gender and sexual diversity.  

RBC BreakOUT

This award is open to anyone between the ages of 13-25 who has been involved in the Two Spirit, Trans, and Queer community and contributed their time, energy, or skills to supporting the community.  Nomination criteria may include dedicated service, leadership, volunteerism, activism,  development, and/or research.  

RBC HelpOUT

This new award is open to an individual or organization within our community who has made a significant contribution to the general community during the Covid-19 pandemic. Nomination criteria may include volunteer work, leadership, activism, donation of goods, services, or money, etc.

• A separate nomination form must be used for each nomination
• Current OUTSaskatoon employees are not eligible for OUTShine awards
• The deadline for nominations is: 5PM on Monday, January 14th, 2022
